Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification required.
• Admitted Attorney/Advocate in South Africa mandatory.
• Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in commercial law.
• Proven drafting, reviewing and negotiating of commercial agreements.
• Solid knowledge of SA contract law and company law.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including service, supply, and partnership agreements.
• Provide legal advice on contractual matters and general commercial law to business teams.
• Ensure contracts and documents comply with legislation and policies.
• Conduct legal research on commercial issues as required.
• Assist in managing disputes and claims arising from contracts.
• Maintain and update contract management systems and precedents.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks in commercial activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments for consistent legal approaches.
• Support General Counsel or Head of Legal on various projects.
