Job summary

The ideal candidate is an admitted SA attorney with at least 5 years in commercial law, capable of handling multiple priorities and collaborating with external counsel when needed.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa (minimum 5 years in commercial law).
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Strong understanding of contract law principles and related legislation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (supplier, service, and partnership).
• Provide legal advice on contractual rights, obligations, and risks to internal departments.
• Ensure all contracts comply with relevant legislation and company policies.
• Manage contract lifecycles from initiation and drafting to execution and renewal.
• Liaise with external legal counsel for specialized advice or representation.
