Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking a CFO/Finance Director to lead the finance function, shape the financial strategy, and ensure robust governance in Gauteng, South Africa. You will guide budgeting, reporting, and treasury while collaborating with the board to safeguard long-term stability.

The role demands CA(SA) or equivalent, 10+ years in financial management with 5+ in senior leadership, and strong IFRS/GAAP and regulatory knowledge. ERP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or internationally recognised equivalent (CPA/ACCA/CIMA).
• BCom or equivalent degree; Masters/MBA advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years financial management experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the companys financial strategy, manage budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitor financial performance.
• Oversee accurate, timely reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financials, board packs, and statutory filings.
• Lead treasury, cash flow, working capital, and capital investment management.
• Ensure IFRS/GAAP, SARS, SARB, Companies Act, B-BBEE compliance.
• Manage internal controls, risk frameworks, audits, and governance.
• Provide oversight of procurement and sustainability reporting where applicable.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
• Support investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, and system improvements.
