Job summary

PlaceTalent is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead category management and strategic sourcing efforts. You will negotiate with key suppliers, build strong relationships, and drive cost optimisation across the organisation.

The role requires leading cross-functional initiatives, analysing market trends, and mentoring a procurement team to deliver continuous improvements across processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional procurement certifications such as CPM, CPSM or CPIM will be advantageous.
• Proven experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement or Supply Chain.
• Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, planning and project management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to influence across multiple business functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving cost optimisation.
• Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for value creation.
