Placements24 is seeking a Category Procurement Manager in Pretoria to lead category sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings. The role requires guiding cross-functional teams to achieve value creation while upholding quality and ethics across procurement activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5–8 years of strategic sourcing experience, preferably with a Master’s degree, and demonstrated success in negotiating complex

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven track record in cost reductions and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings and value.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for assigned categories.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to foster innovation and reliability.
• Lead cross-functional teams on sourcing projects and provide expertise.
• Monitor category performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain for the categories.
