Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment in Cape Town seeks an experienced Business Analyst to lead analysis across multiple projects, elicit and document requirements, and produce BRDs, FSDs, user stories and process maps.

You will facilitate stakeholder workshops, translate requirements for development teams, and support SDLC phases including UAT while maintaining requirements traceability and driving process improvements aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant Business Analysis experience within Software Application Development environments.
• Matric with 10 years’ BA experience and a recognised BA certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) is acceptable.
• Process Engineering background is beneficial and preferred.
• Proven experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis across multiple concurrent projects.
• Elicit, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
• Produce high-quality documentation including BRDs, FSDs, User Stories and Process Maps.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and engagement sessions.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams.
• Support SDLC phases including design, development, testing and UAT.
• Support the UAT process by providing guidance and clarifying requirement ambiguities.
• Maintain requirements traceability.
• Conduct gap analysis and process improvement activities.
• Analyse and map current and future-state business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate process redesign and optimisation initiatives aligned with business objectives and technology solutions.
• Define process measures, controls, and performance indicators to support continuous improvement.
