Job description

A leading FMCG manufacturer is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Stores Packaging Supervisor to join our operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the day‑to‑day packaging stores operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, compliance with food safety standards, efficient dispatching of packaging materials, and effective team management within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field advantageous
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in inventory/stores management within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, GMP and food safety practices
• Experience working on ERP/WMS inventory systems
• Good understanding of FIFO and FEFO stock control principles
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, storage and dispatch of packaging materials
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000, GMP, health & safety and housekeeping standards
• Supervise and manage stores staff, performance and training
• Ensure accurate document control and audit readiness
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and operational issues
• Coordinate effectively with production, quality and other departments
• Monitor packaging movements and ERP transactions accurately
