Job summary

Weskus Personeel is seeking a reliable Store Manager for our Northern Suburbs CPT project environment. You will oversee daily stores operations, manage stock and supervise stores personnel to ensure timely delivery of materials for electrical infrastructure projects.

The role requires strong stock-control knowledge, leadership and planning skills, with a focus on safety and accuracy. A driver’s licence and willingness to travel support site needs.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in stores, warehouse or inventory management.
• Strong knowledge of stock-control and inventory administration.
• Computer literacy including MS Office and stock-management systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
• Forklift licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily stores operations, including receiving, storing, issuing and dispatching stock.
• Maintain accurate stock records, inventory reports and supporting documentation.
• Control electrical materials, tools, equipment, consumables and project-related stock.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors and suppliers to ensure materials are available when required.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Report stock shortages, damages and discrepancies promptly.
• Supervise stores personnel and maintain strong housekeeping standards.
• Ensure compliance with stores procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain effective systems for stock security, traceability and accountability.
• Assist with stock audits, cycle counts and the reconciliation of variances.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, organized and hands-on Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy stores function within an electrical infrastructure and renewable energy project environment. The successful candidate will manage stock control, materials, tools and equipment while supervising stores personnel and ensuring that projects receive the correct materials on time.

• Manage daily stores operations, including receiving, storing, issuing and dispatching stock.
• Maintain accurate stock records, inventory reports and supporting documentation.

• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and stock-management systems.
• Ability to understand material requisitions, delivery notes and supplier documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel according to project requirements.
• A forklift licence and knowledge of electrical materials would be advantageous.
