Job summary

West Coast Personnel is seeking a Stores Controller to manage daily store operations in the Western Cape. You will oversee receiving, storing, issuing and dispatching stock, while maintaining accurate stock records and documentation.

The role requires leadership, strong planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read requisitions and supplier docs. A valid driver’s licence is essential; forklift licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent required.
• Experience in stores, warehouse or inventory management preferred.
• Knowledge of stock-control, receiving and inventory procedures is essential.
• Ability to read requisitions, delivery notes and supplier documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Forklift licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily stores operations including receiving, storing, issuing and dispatching stock.
• Maintain accurate stock records and reporting; support documentation.
• Control electrical materials, tools, equipment and consumables; assist with stock audits and variance reconciliation.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors and suppliers to ensure material availability.
• Supervise stores personnel and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Maintain stock security, traceability and accountability.
