Job summary

Objective Personnel is seeking a diligent Storeman to manage inventory in Benoni. You will receive, store and distribute goods, ensuring accurate stock records and timely access to materials for other departments.

The role requires 2–5 years of stock control experience, a valid driver's license, and fluency in English. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, requiring physical stamina and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Matric or Senior Certificate is required.
• 2–5 years experience as Storeman with stock control.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
• Experience with Sage Pastel or Sage Evolution is advantageous.
• Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written).
• Ability to track and monitor stock levels accurately.
• Physically able to lift and move stock.
• Strong communication and teamwork across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of goods in warehouse/retail environment.
• Ensure inventory is tracked, organized, and readily available for use.

Requirements

• Valid drivers license
• Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience working as a Storeman with proven inventory and stock control experience.
• Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
• Experience working on Sage Pastel Accounting or Sage Evolution will be advantageous.
• Fluent in English (speak, read, and write).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to track, organize, and monitor stock levels accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
• Good physical stamina – the role requires lifting, standing, and moving items throughout the day.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address stock discrepancies, misplaced items, and other logistical issues.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordination across departments.
• Demonstrated initiative and reliability, with the ability to work independently and take proactive ownership of stock management and stock take processes.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and accuracy when handling large volumes of stock.
