Job summary

Empact Group is seeking an experienced Storekeeper to manage stock, liaise with suppliers and staff, and supervise the store associate. The role includes inventory control, quality checks, and adherence to HSE standards.

Ideal candidates will have 2 years in logistics, Matric, and supervisory exposure; hospitality experience is a plus as training will be provided. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• 2 years of logistics experience.
• Hospitality experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
• Work smart experience is an advantage.
• Supervisory experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Place orders and liaise with suppliers on approval from Project/ Catering Manager.
• Ensure prices and quantities match the order sheet and invoice.
• Issue stock/groceries to all External Departments.
• Weigh all food products issued to staff for production.
• Manage stock levels against budget with minimum/maximum stock.
• Assist in weekly and monthly stock takes.
• Complete HSE records correctly and on time.
• Supervise storeroom/fridge/freezer; ensure they are locked and clean.
• Check incoming goods for quality and proper labelling.
• Receive stock from suppliers and ensure order completeness.
• May be asked to work weekends.
• Store stock after each mealtime service.
• Perform quality checks on all food products.
• Implement strict fridge/freezer and storeroom controls.
• Collaborate with Project/Catering Manager and Catering Supervisors.
