Clicks Group Limited is seeking a Floor Planner to join the Space Planning team at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town. The role focuses on merchandising floor plans, allocating categories and space for new and revamped stores, and ensuring alignment with clientele profiles and store templates.

Qualifications

• Essential: Sound knowledge of consumer shopping habits; consumer demographics and retail merchandising.
• Desirable: Understanding of category adjacencies within Health, Wellness and Beauty sectors.
• Essential: MS Office applications especially Excel (intermediate).
• Desirable: CAD, Blue Yonder CatMan Floor Planning, Space Planning software experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply a macro merchandise proposal to proposed new and revamp stores.
• Facilitate the compilation of equipment and aisle sign requirements for proposed new and revamp stores.
• Interpret and validate understanding of dominant clientele for proposed stores.
• Assist in reallocating space on store plans in existing stores for strategic changes.
• Interpret store performance per category to maximize space profitability.
• Apply correct flow and adjacencies on each store plan to support Chain Store image.
• Record space allocated on each store plan for reference and communication.
• Communicate store plan proposals to stakeholders.
• Allocate the actual assortment onto the floor plan.
