Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Goods Receiving Clerk and Stock Controller for a busy Mossel Bay warehouse. The role focuses on accurate intake, inspection, and documentation of inventory, as well as organizing stock locations to ensure fast, reliable order fulfillment.

You will perform receiving, cycle counts, and stock level monitoring, while collaborating with procurement and sales to resolve discrepancies, uphold safety standards, and maintain data integrity in the inventory system.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Goods Receiving Clerk/Stock Controller or similar.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office.
• Strong data entry accuracy and record-keeping.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments from suppliers.
• Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies.
• Record received goods in the inventory system.
• Organize stock and allocate to warehouse locations.
• Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts.
• Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment needs.
• Investigate discrepancies between stock and records.
• Maintain a clean, safe receiving area.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales on stock issues.
• Prepare and dispatch outgoing goods with accuracy.
