Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Stock Controller for our client in Paarl, Western Cape. You will manage receiving, warehousing, and distribution of stock, maintain accurate records, and support stock rotation to prevent discrepancies.

The role requires hands-on experience with inventory management systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a team in Paarl. Training and career progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, or a similar warehousing role.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of stocktaking procedures and inventory control principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in Paarl, Western Cape.
• Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stocktakes and system updates.
• Oversee the receiving and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement and adhere to stock control procedures and policies.
• Monitor stock levels and identify any discrepancies or potential issues.
• Investigate and resolve stock-related queries and discrepancies.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
• Assist in managing the flow of goods between the distribution center and retail stores in Paarl.
• Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and stock valuation.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Contribute to process improvements for inventory management.
