Job summary

Assign Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage stock levels, receive and inspect inbound stock, and ensure accurate ERP-based records. The role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years in inventory control, strong numerical skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems. This on-site position offers Flexi Hours as a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock.
• Ensure proper storage and safety of inventory.
• Conduct regular stock and cycle counts.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Update inventory records and manage stock systems.
• Prepare stock reports for management.
• Track stock movements, transfers, and returns.
• Coordinate with suppliers on deliveries and shortages.
• Reorder stock when levels reach minimum thresholds.
• Ensure compliance with inventory procedures.
• Minimize stock losses, damages, and obsolete inventory.
• Support warehouse and logistics operations.
• Label and organize inventory for efficient retrieval.
• Assist with audits and inventory reconciliations.
