Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in Johannesburg seeks a Technical Application Engineer – Sub-Saharan Africa to provide pre-sales and technical expertise across the region. You will demonstrate Hexagon Production Software, map manufacturing challenges to digital solutions, and act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, prospects and educational partners throughout the sales journey.

The role requires strong manufacturing know-how, customer engagement skills and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in application engineering, pre-sales, technical consulting, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, CNC programming, machining, simulation, or production software.
• Fluency in English; Afrikaans is advantageous; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and technical support to identify, qualify and advance opportunities.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, proofs of concept, and customer workshops.
• Map customer processes to Hexagon solutions and guide best practices.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs and develop technical proposals.
• Build relationships with engineering, manufacturing, and quality stakeholders.
