About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Sports Facilities Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of their state-of-the-art sports facilities in Midrand . This pivotal role involves ensuring a safe, high-quality, and engaging environment for athletes, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, day-to-day management, and continuous improvement of all facility-related aspects, from event support to long-term asset management. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for all sports facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Manage the maintenance, repair, and upgrade schedules for all facility equipment and infrastructure, including fields, courts, gyms, and support areas.
• Oversee a team of facility staff, including custodians, groundskeepers, and maintenance technicians, providing training and performance management.
• Coordinate with event organizers, sports leagues, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of scheduled activities and events.
• Develop and manage the facility's operational budget, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for revenue generation through rentals and premium services.
• Implement and monitor health and safety protocols, conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring emergency preparedness plans are in place.
