Qualifications

• Requires relevant teaching qualification with a specialization in Special Needs Education.
• Experience with students having a range of learning disabilities and developmental challenges is preferred.
• Strong ability to adapt curriculum and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Excellent communication, empathy and patience are essential in Port Elizabeth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
• Provide direct instruction using specialized teaching methodologies.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and external specialists to support each student.
• Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and social-emotional growth.
