About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Special Needs Education (SEN) Teacher to support learners with diverse educational needs at their facility in Soweto. This role is dedicated to providing individualized instruction and support, helping students with disabilities achieve their full potential. You will work within a dedicated support team, developing tailored learning programs and creating an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and can succeed. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to the unique learning, behavioral, and developmental requirements of each student.
• Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and assistive technologies to facilitate learning and engagement.
• Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure a cohesive support system.
• Monitor student progress, document achievements, and adjust educational plans as needed to foster development and success in Education & Teaching.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Special Needs Education (SEN) or equivalent.
• A valid teaching qualification and registration with the appropriate professional body in South Africa.
• Experience working with students with a range of special educational needs, such as learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral challenges.
• Proficiency in creating and implementing IEPs and adapting curriculum to meet diverse needs.
• Patience, empathy, creativity, and strong communication skills to effectively support students and their families in Gauteng.
