Job summary

Eastern Personnel Consultants / Oostelike Personeel Konsultante in South Africa is seeking a Spares Picker Packer for a permanent, full-time role. You will work in our warehouse, supporting order fulfilment with RF scanners and voice-picking headsets.

The position requires a clean criminal background and South African citizenship; salary is R7,845 basic (not negotiable), with provident fund and a December bonus. Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and Saturday 08:00–13:00.

Qualifications

• Basic warehouse operations and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Order picking: locate items using picking lists and RF scanners or voice-picking headsets.
• Quality control: check items for damage before packing.
• Packing: select box sizes, use protective materials and seal securely.
• Labeling: print and apply shipping labels and include invoices and packing slips.
• Inventory management: update WMS as items move and assist with stock counts.
• Safety & maintenance: keep workspace clean and operate pallet jacks safely.

Criminal background check verifications will be done on the successful applicant.

• Order Picking: Locating items within the warehouse using picking lists, RF scanners, or voice-picking headsets.
• Quality Control: Checking items for damage or defects before they are packed.
• Packing: Selecting the appropriate box size, using protective materials (bubble wrap, air pillows), and sealing packages securely.
• Labeling: Printing and applying shipping labels and ensuring all documentation (invoices, packing slips) is included.
• Inventory Management: Updating the warehouse management system (WMS) as items are moved and assisting with stock counts.
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintaining a clean workspace and operating equipment like pallet jacks or trolleys safely.
