Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Impact Lead for our Soweto, Gauteng office to drive youth development programs, engage local leaders, and coordinate community services. You will oversee program delivery, mentor staff and volunteers, monitor outcomes, and build partnerships with schools and organizations to create sustainable, positive change in Soweto and the broader Gauteng region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in program management, community development, or youth work.
• Experience leading community-based programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Education, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and management of community impact programs in Soweto, focusing on youth empowerment.
• Engage with community members, local leaders, and stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for program development.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned community programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Monitor program progress, collect data, and prepare reports on impact and outcomes for Soweto.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, schools, and other relevant organizations.
• Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers involved in community initiatives.
• Ensure all programs are delivered in a safe, inclusive, and culturally sensitive manner.
• Manage program budgets and resources effectively to achieve defined goals within Soweto.
• Represent the organization at community events and meetings.
• Contribute to the organization's strategic planning and fundraising efforts related to community programs.
