Placements24 is seeking a Pharmaceutical Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to cover Soweto and surrounding Gauteng areas on-site. The role focuses on serving as the scientific and medical expert, engaging with KOLs, HCPs, and researchers, and translating complex clinical data into actionable insights for patient care.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced life-science degree and 3–5 years of MSL/medical affairs experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to travel frequently

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., M.D., Ph.D.).
• 3–5 years of MSL or medical affairs experience in pharma.
• Ability to translate complex clinical data for diverse audiences.
• Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel within Soweto and surroundings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main scientific resource for designated therapeutic areas and products.
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs, investigators, and HCPs.
• Disseminate clinical data and study updates clearly and objectively.
• Collect insights from KOLs/HCPs on treatment practices and unmet needs.
• Support clinical research activities including site identification and engagement.
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests with compliance and timeliness.
