Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Medical Science Liaison to cover Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA. This field-based role requires deep scientific and clinical understanding and strong communication with HCPs, KOLs, and researchers.

You will identify investigators, present complex data, and support clinical research activities while contributing to medical strategy and ensuring regulatory compliance. Travel within Bloemfontein and broader Free State is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD, MD, or PhD).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or a related role within pharma/biotech.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with KOLs and present complex scientific data.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and HCPs in the assigned territory.
• Disseminate complex scientific and clinical information about products and therapeutic areas.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific and clinical inquiries from HCPs.
• Gather insights on treatment landscapes, unmet needs, and research trends.
• Support planning and execution of scientific advisory boards and investigator meetings.
• Identify potential investigators for company-sponsored trials and research.
• Present data at national/international congresses and local events.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Marketing.
