Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an efficient Accounts Receivable Specialist in Soweto to manage customer accounts, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate AR records. You will contribute to cash flow management and client relationships, working closely with the finance team at the Soweto office.

The role requires 2-4 years AR experience, familiarity with SAP or Oracle and MS Excel, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related credit control role.
Knowledge of accounting principles related to accounts receivable.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain customer accounts, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
Process incoming payments, apply them to customer accounts, and reconcile discrepancies.
Follow up on overdue accounts receivable through various channels.
Prepare aging reports and analyze accounts receivable balances.
Resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes efficiently.
Assist with month-end closing procedures for the accounts receivable function.
