Job summary

African Echoes Recruitment is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for a lodge in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. You will assist the Head Chef, prepare high-quality meals to lodge standards, and manage kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.

The role requires RSA ID and legal residence, a recognised Chef qualification, 2–5 years' experience in a professional hospitality kitchen, strong stock control, menu planning, and cost management.

REQUIREMENT

• Strong knowledge of stock control, stock takes, and ordering procedures

• Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleaning standards
• Ability to work independently and confidently manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
• Positive attitude with strong leadership and organisational skills
