Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join a luxury lodge in Ceres, Western Cape. This live-in role offers the opportunity to work alongside the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences in a high-end hospitality setting.

You will manage kitchen operations, mentor junior staff, contribute to menu development, monitor inventory, and ensure hygiene standards while living in a remote lodge environment.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef in luxury hospitality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency.

• Assist with food preparation for a la carte, buffet, and special events as required.
