Job summary

Jendamark Automation in Gqeberha (Eastern Cape) seeks a customer-facing engineer who sits between the customer and our engineering floor. You translate problems into engineering briefs and work with mechanical, electrical and innovation teams to design practical solutions.

Qualifications

Must have sales/marketing experience in engineering settings.
Degree or national diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Excellent English communication, written and spoken, with customers.
Curiosity and persistence to understand technical problems.
Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and passport; willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

Attend on-site meetings with customers to understand needs.
Create a concise engineering brief for the design team.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and innovation teams to shape the solution.
Assess technical fit, cost, risk and manufacturability.
Present concepts to customers and negotiate orders.
Handoff to project and engineering teams to ensure smooth build.
Maintain ongoing customer contact during post-sale support.
