Job summary

Mind Detect in South Africa is seeking a Payments Solutions Consultant to join their world-class client solutions team. The role designs bespoke payment solutions to solve customer problems and acts as the technical advocate and solution architect across early sales cycles.

This client-facing role sits at the intersection of sales, technical solutions, and product management. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced with opportunities for growth and exposure to a broad fintech product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience from a top-tier university.
• Experience as a Product Manager working closely with Software Engineers and technical teams.
• Customer-facing experience in a sales or consulting capacity.
• Ability to fluently interact with both business and technical client stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly understand new technologies and complex concepts.
• Experience at a financial technology or B2B SaaS startup.
• Thorough understanding of technical concepts, including integration patterns and error handling.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a deep understanding of a portfolio of complex payment products
• Design bespoke solutions for key customers using the company’s advanced product portfolio
• Build a deep understanding of your client's payments environment and processes and bring this knowledge to internal Product and Engineering teams
• Host solutioning workshops to advise customers on best practices during the sales or integration process
• Work with product and engineering teams to translate client feedback into meaningful product insights

Our ultra-modern, scaling, payments platform client is searching for a Payments Solutions Consultant to join their world-class client solutions team in South Africa (remote/hybrid in Cape Town options).

The role is responsible for designing solutions which solve our customers' payments problems through the earlier stages of the sales cycle. This role is heavily client-facing, focusing on assisting the sales team in landing deals by being the technical advocate and architect for your customers. This role sits at the intersection of sales, technical solutions consulting and product management.
