Job summary

Vera Solutions in Cape Town seeks a Solutions Architect to design world-class systems, including the Salesforce Platform, with a strong focus on quality and client value.

You will lead discovery, advise on data strategy and governance, and drive implementation roadmaps across complex technology ecosystems, including AI-enabled solutions. This role offers growth and impact in the social sector.

Qualifications

• Relevant Engineering, Computer Science, or Data-related degree, or relevant work experience.
• One or more Salesforce Architect Certification.
• One or more Claude Certification.
• 5+ years of technology experience (consulting preferred).
• 3+ years working with the Salesforce Lightning Platform or comparable technology platforms.
• 1+ years of designing technology solutions in an advisory or architect capacity.
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude, and a strong interest in applying AI to client solutions and internal workflows.
• Experience with data strategy, data governance, and data solution implementation.
• Integration patterns and frameworks.
• Experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle.
• Leading implementation teams.
• Excited by researching and exploring new tools and features across the technology and AI landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relational skills.
• Experience or interest in working in a small, dynamic team.
• Positive, supportive attitude, and sense of humor.
• Interest in social sector work and international development.
• Fluency/proficiency in Spanish, French, Portuguese, or other languages.

Responsibilities

• Drive requirements gathering sessions, elicit client requirements, and map client business processes.
• Lead discovery workshops with clients to ensure a complete picture of needs.
• Design technology solutions including Salesforce Platform and complementary tools.
• Advise on data strategy, data governance, and data architecture for long-term quality.
• Develop implementation roadmaps including data solution implementation and integration.
• Lead project implementation teams to ensure high quality builds.
• Drive quality across Vera’s technical implementations.
• Advise on applying AI tools like Claude to improve operations.
• Communicate solution decisions internally and with customers.
• Deliver projects across various project management methodologies.
• Support project managers to deliver on time and budget.
• Support sales with technical and advisory input.
• Contribute to Vera’s learning environment.
