Job summary

BLU by Adcorp SA is seeking a cloud solution architect to lead pre-sales, design cloud solutions, and verify POC for public cloud projects in Gauteng. You will guide migrations and online delivery, coordinating with Sales BD, R&D and SRE to ensure smooth operation of key customers.

The role requires experience with public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies, plus strong understanding of data, platform, and IT evolution needs for CIOs.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years Public Cloud experience
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, IT or related qualification; AWS/Microsoft/Google Cloud certs are a plus

Job description

• Be responsible for the pre-sales technical communication with key customers, and the insight into key customers opportunities.
• Based on client’s cloud products and solutions, be responsible for requirement analysis, solution design, POC verification, and traditional IT cloud solution design for public cloud projects.
• Be responsible for the migration and online delivery of public cloud products and solutions; participate in and ensure the delivery of key projects.
• Work with Sales BD), R&D, SRE, and other teams to ensure the continuous operation of key costumers.
• Provide general requirements input for products and solutions based on the region and industry characteristics, to support competitiveness.

Technical Skills Requirements:

• The designer of the cloud solution for large-scale data centres is preferred;
• Have related background experience in regional business of a certain industry;
• Have technical background, and good understanding of data, platform, and technology;
• Be familiar with customers’ cloud services and understand the requirements and pain points of CIOs for IT evolution solutions
• Be familiar with the functions, principles, and architectures of one or more domains of the public cloud/private cloud. Have certain programming basics r development experience;
• Have experience in the migration method and process on the cloud. Full life-cycle project experience is preferred;
• Experience in one or more public cloud solutions in the finance/internet industry (game and video domain)/manufacturing/energy/education/healthcare/government is preferred;
• Experience in project planning, implementation, and O&M in virtualization and cloudification in related industries IT departments is preferred;
• Experience in pre-sales consulting, architecture design, and real customer system migration and delivery in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Experience in virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, and Oracle VM), private cloud (OpenStack), hybrid cloud, and multi‑cloud management is preferred

Required Education and skills

• At least 2-3 years Public Cloud experience related
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, information technology or any related qualification such as AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud Certified Solutions Architect will be an advantage
