Regal Distributors in Gauteng seeks a seasoned security solutions expert to collaborate with product managers and sales channels, delivering holistic electronic security solutions across video surveillance, access control, intrusion, alarms and solar options. You will design, specify, and document architectures, prepare BOMs and proposals, and support tenders with strong technical input.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years relevant experience in security/solutions domain.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop integrated electronic security solutions across video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, alarm systems and electric fencing.
• Develop copper and fibre optic network designs to support security infrastructure and IP-based systems.
• Design solar-powered security solutions including load calculations and power requirements for remote installations.
• Prepare detailed bills of materials (BOMs), technical specifications, system diagrams, layouts and solution proposals.
• Provide technical guidance to product managers, sales teams, installers and customers.

• Design and develop integrated electronic security solutions across video surveillance, physical access control, intrusion detection, alarm system and electric fencing.
• Develop copper and fibre optic network designs to support security infrastructure and associated IP-based systems.
• Design solar-powered security solutions, including load calculations, battery autonomy and power requirements for remote installations.
• Conduct technical assessments and gather customer requirements to determine appropriate system architecture and equipment specifications.
• Perform video storage, bandwidth, network capacity, PoE and server sizing calculations where applicable.
• Prepare detailed bills of materials (BOMs), technical specifications, system diagrams, layouts and solution proposals.
• Evaluate product compatibility, system limitations, software licensing requirements and integration dependencies.
• Identify technical risks, design gaps and missing components before quotations and proposals are submitted.
• Provide technical guidance to product managers, sales teams, installers, consultants and customers.
• Support proof-of-concept installations, product demonstrations, system testing and commissioning where required.
• Evaluate alternative products and technologies to identify suitable solutions within customer requirements and commercial constraints.
• Maintain technical knowledge of relevant products, industry developments, standards and emerging security technologies.
• Provide technical input into complex tenders, specifications and project proposals.
• Support the development of standardized solution designs, design guidelines and technical documentation for internal use.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members where applicable to the position.
• Provide technical feedback on product trends and recommendations for product enhancement to Head of product management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering,
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• The incumbent must be qualified and have demonstrated above average technical capacity and experience, 5-10 years’ experience in a similar field.
• The incumbent is required to become familiar with the company’s systems and software to generate all necessary administration.
• Must be prepared to travel nationally and internationally when required
• he incumbent must ensure a consistent standard of excellence and professionalism in the execution of his duties and attain and maintain a consistent high standard of liaison with Regal clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
