Job summary

Absa Group is seeking a Senior System Analyst to join the DevOps-enabled team, translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories for full-stack, cross-system integration.

The role involves collaboration with architects, developers, and QA, ensuring traceable, testable requirements and production readiness. Banking domain experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Essential degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering Technology or related discipline.
• 5+ years experience in System Analysis and Solution Design.
• Experience with Agile or SAFe environments and UAT/production deployments.
• Banking or Financial Services sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate business and system requirements; translate into technical specs and user stories.
• Produce system specifications, process flows and integration requirements.
• Work with developers through the full SDLC; assist with backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Support testing phases including SIT and UAT; investigate defects and root cause analysis.
• Provide production support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
