Placements24 in Centurion is seeking a skilled Solar PV Installation Technician to join our installation team, handling hands-on installation of photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial properties. You will collaborate with project managers and fellow technicians to wire, test and commission systems, ensure safety compliance, and maintain high-quality workmanship on every site.
Requirements include a relevant electrical installation or solar PV certification and a minimum of two years'
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of hands-on PV installation experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and installation manuals.
- Physically able to lift heavy equipment and work at heights.
Responsibilities
- Install solar PV panels, inverters and related electrical equipment per design.
- Wire and connect systems, following safety codes and standards.
- Test and commission PV installations for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and resolve them promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe work site and communicate progress to the supervisor.
