Job summary

Placements24 is seeking energetic Solar Panel Installers to join our renewable energy team in Port Elizabeth. You will be responsible for installing solar panels, mounting hardware, and related electrical components for residential and commercial clients across the Eastern Cape.

Ideal candidates are comfortable working at heights, possess practical skills, and are committed to safety, quality, and sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in solar panel installation or a related trade.
• Ability to work comfortably and safely at heights.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and safety procedures.
• Good physical condition and stamina for manual labor.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport to sites around Port Elizabeth.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panel mounting systems on rooftops and ground-mounted structures.
• Attach solar panels securely with proper alignment and spacing.
• Assist with installation of inverters, wiring, and balance-of-system components.
• Perform quality checks to meet design specs and safety standards.
• Follow safety protocols, including working at heights and handling electrical components.
• Keep the work site clean and materials organized for efficiency.
