Job summary

Dante Personnel seeks a skilled supervisor for our solar/electrical retail operations. The role requires strong stock control, leadership, and customer-focused guidance to select products, provide quotations, and support basic technical decisions.

Applicants should have Matric and at least 5 years in solar or related fields; experience with suppliers, pricing, and warranties is essential. Proficiency with MS Office and POS systems is expected; a valid Code B license is required.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Electrical, solar, technical or operations qualification advantageous.
• 5 years’ relevant experience in solar, electrical, technical retail, operations or related env.
• Proven electrical experience with solar PV systems and electrical equipment.
• Experience managing a shop, branch or operational environment.
• Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
• Experience dealing with suppliers, purchasing, pricing, lead times, warranties and returns.
• Proven experience supervising and leading a team.
• Ability to provide product selection, quotations and basic technical guidance.
• Strong computer literacy including MS Office, email and inventory/POS systems.
• Experience with invoicing, ordering and reporting systems advantageous.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence and own transport.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in solar/battery storage or telecom backup power industry advantageous.
• Experience in SME environments advantageous.
• Basic understanding of SHEQ and compliance in electrical retail/warehouse.

• A relevant electrical, solar, technical or operations qualification will be advantageous


• 5 Years’ relevant experience in solar, electrical, technical retail, operations or a related environment


• Proven electrical experience, with an understanding of solar PV systems and electrical equipment


• Previous experience managing a shop, branch or operational environment


• Strong experience in stock control and inventory management


• Experience dealing with suppliers, purchasing, pricing, lead times, warranties and returns


• Proven experience supervising and leading a team


• Ability to provide customers with product selection, quotations and basic technical guidance


• Strong computer literacy, including MS Office, email and inventory/POS systems


• Experience with invoicing, ordering and reporting systems will be advantageous


• Valid Code B driver's licence and own reliable transport


• Fluent in English, both written and spoken


• Experience in the solar, battery storage or telecommunications backup power industry will be advantageous


• Experience within a small to medium-sized business environment will be advantageous


• Basic understanding of SHEQ and compliance within an electrical retail or warehouse environment
