Job summary

Green Marble Recruitment Consultants is seeking a technically capable engineer with an electrical or mechanical background to assist in PV and backup power system design across off-grid, hybrid and grid-tied solutions.

You will work with the AutoCAD department to develop electrical drawings, identify new business opportunities, and support the sales process with training. Travel nationally for site evaluations and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Relevant electrical or mechanical degree required.
• Strong technical aptitude with interest in solar PV and backup power.
• Strong sales and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel nationally.
• Willingness to complete internal training.
• Excellent Afrikaans and English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of PV and backup power designs (off-grid, hybrid, grid-tied).
• Collaborate with AutoCAD to develop electrical drawings and optimise yield.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in commercial, industrial and residential sectors.
• Assist with lead generation, prospecting and cold calling.
• Support the sales process from lead qualification to closing, with guidance.
• Conduct site evaluations for costing and design.
• Assist with project planning and technical implementation.
• Assist with commissioning and switch-on activities under guidance.
• Provide post-sale technical support and resolve customer queries.
• Assist with programming electronics and technical product support.
• Advise customers on suitable technologies and product solutions.
• Maintain lead, customer and revenue data on Pastel Evolution CRM.
• Assist with developing product literature and technical sales material.
• Build and maintain positive customer and business relationships.
• Travel nationally for site evaluations and commissioning of larger projects.
