Job summary

Indsafri is seeking a meticulous Software Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. You will design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases across functional, regression, and integration testing.

You will collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements, identify quality issues, and document defects, while contributing to automation and process improvements to increase coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Quality Engineer or in a similar QA role.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases.
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing software applications.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
• Identify, isolate, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand project requirements and identify potential quality issues.
• Analyze test results and provide clear, concise reports to stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure quality is built into the development process.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and tools.
• Automate testing processes where applicable to increase efficiency and coverage.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Software Quality Engineer or in a similar QA role.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases.
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Familiarity with various testing types (functional, regression, integration, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman).
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience with API testing.
