Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Software Development Project Manager to lead exciting product development initiatives from our Paarl, Western Cape office. You will guide agile software teams through the full project lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software and clear communication with stakeholders.

You will collaborate with product owners, developers, QA and designers, manage resources, track risks, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with 3+ years in software development.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence or Trello.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software development projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product owners, development teams, QA, and designers to define scope and requirements.
• Track project progress, identify and resolve impediments, and manage risks and dependencies.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, well-tested software releases.

About the Role
