Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to lead critical IT projects from our George office in the Western Cape. You will guide teams through the full lifecycle using Agile methodologies, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities include managing software development lifecycles and infrastructure upgrades, tracking risks, and delivering high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years IT project management experience with a strong emphasis on Agile methodologies.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in managing software development lifecycles and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT projects using Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Develop detailed project roadmaps, manage backlogs, and prioritize tasks to meet project objectives.
• Facilitate communication between development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve impediments.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet client requirements and business goals.
• Track project performance metrics and provide regular status reports to senior management.
