Job summary

Zohorecruit in Howick, South Africa is seeking a creative Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing team. You’ll manage strategy, content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok, build our online community and engage with followers.

You’ll work with influencers, coordinate content shoots, track performance with Google, Meta and TikTok analytics, and constantly spot trends to grow brand awareness and website traffic.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Media, Mass Communication, Business Communication or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in social media management.
• Strong experience in social media planning, content creation and campaign execution.
• Solid understanding of Google, Meta and TikTok analytics.
• Experience with at least one of the following tools: Photoshop, Lightroom, Monday.com, Trello, HubSpot.
• Strong copywriting skills you’ll complete a copywriting test during the interview process.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• A sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of what makes content stand out.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to stay on top of deadlines.
• A genuine passion for social media, content and brands.
• Strong awareness of current social media trends and industry developments.
• Video editing experience is advantageous.
• A portfolio of your work is required for review during the recruitment process.

• Develop and implement an engaging social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
• Manage the social media content calendar across multiple platforms.
• Plan, create, schedule and publish engaging content.
• Oversee and coordinate content creation with internal and external partners.
