Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, InfoSec, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in a SOC.
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or ELK Stack.
• Understanding of networks, Windows/Linux, and common attack vectors.
• Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GSEC are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
• Analyze security incidents to determine scope, cause, and impact.
• Investigate potential breaches and unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, coordinating containment and eradication.
• Develop and refine detection rules and alerts.
• Support vulnerability assessments and pentesting efforts.
• Stay current with threats and technologies.
• Document incident response procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement controls.
• Generate reports on security posture and incidents.
