Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret blueprints and drawings to determine project specs and material requirements.
• Lay bricks, blocks and other masonry units to construct or repair walls and foundations.
• Maintain consistent mortar joint thickness and level/plumb construction.
• Mix cement, sand and water to produce concrete and mortar mixes.
• Clean excess mortar from surfaces and tools, keeping area tidy.
• Collaborate with other trades on site to ensure project progression.

About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated and highly skilled Skilled Bricklayer to contribute to various construction projects in Tembisa . This role involves the precise laying of bricks, blocks, and other construction materials to build and repair walls, foundations, and other structures. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently and safely on a construction site. This is a hands‑on position demanding physical stamina and a commitment to producing high-quality masonry work, playing a vital role in the structural integrity and aesthetic completion of new builds and renovations within the Tembisa community.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine project specifications and material requirements.
• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to construct or repair walls, partitions, foundations, and other structures according to plans.
• Ensure consistent mortar joint thickness and alignment, maintaining plumb and level construction.
• Mix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete and mortar mixes of specified proportions.
• Clean excess mortar from surfaces and tools, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate effectively with other construction trades on site to ensure seamless project progression.

Requirements
