Job summary

Howden South Africa, part of Chart Industries, is seeking Site Supervisors to oversee GO shutdown projects and maintenance across customer sites in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. This role requires planning, coordination and hands-on supervision of welding and mechanical work to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will work with safety teams and client representatives, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and ensuring adherence to NEC 3 terms.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or N3 Engineering Qualification.
• Trade tested and qualified Mechanical Fitter.
• Level 1 welding fabrication inspector certificate.
• Experience in Power Station, Mining and Petro Chemical Industry is required.
• Knowledge of NEC 3 contract.
• Valid Driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-project discussions to shape SOW and resource allocation.
• Plan and interpret project requirements after production order receipt to meet objectives.
• Compile spares lists and manage stock control of tools and equipment.
• Ensure safety regs and site safety file requirements are followed on site.
• Coordinate welding or mechanical activities to and from site and monitor progress.
