Job summary

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure our systems run smoothly while engineering solutions to improve visibility, reduce toil, and enhance resilience.

You will balance on-call responsibilities with strategic engineering work to deliver scalable reliability across environments. The role requires 5+ years in SRE or similar, strong experience with Java/Go/Python, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications as an SRE or similar role.
• Proficiency in Java, Go or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and software design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rotations to detect and triage service and reliability issues across all environments.
• Act as the Incident Commander during major incidents and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Create and maintain meaningful dashboards and alerts; instrument code for visibility.
• Develop automation to eliminate manual and repetitive operational tasks (toil).
• Implement and track Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints escalated beyond L1/L2 support related to performance or reliability.
