Introduction

A client of ours, a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their project team in Limpopo. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of a major utility‑scale renewable energy project, working on‑site for the full construction and commissioning period.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and monitor on‑site construction activities to ensure adherence to design, quality, safety, and environmental standards
  • Act as the primary site‑based technical representative for the client
  • Coordinate daily with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
  • Manage progress reporting, site inspections, and technical issue resolution
  • Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities
  • Enforce compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and HSE protocols
  • Provide regular updates to the project management team

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Strong understanding of EPC environments, site operations, and project schedules
  • Experience with solar PV, or similar large‑scale energy projects will be advantageous
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to be based on‑site full‑time in Limpopo
