Job summary

Scatec in North West, South Africa seeks a Site Document Controller to manage on-site documentation for renewable energy projects, ensuring current, approved docs are available to site teams. You will act as the first point of contact for inputs and contractor submissions, maintain the SMDL, standardize templates, and train staff on the document management system.

Qualifications

• Two years of document-control experience on EPC or construction projects.
• Understanding of the full project document life cycle and workflows.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements for document management.

Responsibilities

• Control the Site Master Document List (SMDL) and track document status.
• Receive, check, upload, distribute, and maintain external documents and drawings.
• Manage site correspondence and project emails, ensuring records are complete.
• Interface with contractors for document submissions and kick-off meetings.
• Ensure compliance with templates, naming conventions, and workflow requirements.
• Coordinate with Main Office Document Control team and transition to as-built records.
• Support site audits, provide status updates, and train staff on the DMS.
• Enable site teams to access reliable, controlled project information.
