Job summary

TotalEnergies Renewables International MEA is seeking a site-based Civil Engineer to supervise and manage civil activities during construction of solar PV and wind projects in South Africa. The role includes design reviews, site supervision, quality control, HSE compliance, and coordinating with contractors.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, 5+ years in renewables, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and travel to sites.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering required.
• 5+ years’ experience in civil engineering, preferably in renewable energy.
• Knowledge of civil balance of plant for PV solar and Wind projects.
• Familiarity with South Africa civil codes and standards.
• Strong organization, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day Civil Engineering supervision of solar PV and wind construction.
• Ensure technical compliance with project documents and specifications.
• Coordinate with BOP contractors and design consultants.
• Prepare progress reports and presentations.
• Monitor schedule and budget within scope.
