ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Shopify Developer to join our e-commerce team. Reporting directly to the Website Administrator, you will assist in building, customizing, and optimizing our Shopify store performance. You will work closely with the Website Administrator, marketing teams, and UI/UX designers to implement custom store features, maintain theme code, and ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Reporting & Collaboration: Work directly under the guidance of the Website Administrator to execute site updates, handle task queues, and align development goals with store operations.
• - Store Maintenance & Optimization: Perform routine site audits, fix bug reports, update themes, and optimize front-end asset loading times for mobile and desktop.
• - App Integration & Configuration: Install, configure, and test third-party Shopify apps to enhance site functionality without impacting store performance.
• - Catalog & Template Management: Assist with custom product page layouts, collection filtering, metafield setup, and dynamic content displays.
• - Marketing & SEO Support: Partner with marketing teams to deploy landing pages, implement tracking scripts, and support promotional campaigns as directed by the Website Administrator.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical Skills:
  • Fundamental understanding of Shopify's platform ecosystem and Liquid templating language.
  • Familiarity with responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.
  • Basic knowledge of Git version control and code management.
• - Experience: 1+ years of general web development experience or relevant personal/freelance Shopify projects.
• - Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, clear communication, and a willingness to take technical direction and mentorship.

NICE-TO-HAVES

• - Experience with Shopify's Storefront API, GraphQL, or headless architectures (e.g., Next.js).
• - Exposure to web performance optimization (Google Core Web Vitals, page speed metrics).
