Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist at our Upington facility to manage incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch. You will work with warehouse and logistics teams to maintain inventory integrity and meet delivery schedules.

Responsible for cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and maintaining a clean, safe receiving area while using inventory systems and MS Office to document shipments and coordinate with carriers.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving or related logistics role.
• Proficient with inventory management systems and MS Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physically able to lift and move packages.
• Reliable and able to work effectively with Upington operations team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping activities: order processing, packing, labeling, and dispatch coordination.
• Receive shipments, verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips; inspect for damages.
• Document all shipments in the inventory management system.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries for timely transit.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff and customer service to resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in inventory reconciliation.
