Job summary

FM Staff is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor/Controller for a speciality chemical manufacturer in the Cape Town area. The role requires a Diploma in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of five years' experience managing a team of Process Technicians/Operators, with strict adherence to plant procedures and safety standards.

Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts (morning, midday, night) and possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transport.

Job description

We are looking for someone experienced as a Shift Supervisor/Controller for a role at a speciality chemical manufacturer.

Must Have/Minimum Requirements

• Have at least a Diploma in Chemical Engineering (BTech, B.Eng or BSc Chemical Engineering might be an advantage).
• Have a minimum of 5 years experience in Shift management - running a team of Process Technicians/Process Operators, and used to strictly following Plant Procedures, OHS & PPE etc.
• Be willing working weekly rotating shifts (morning, midday, night).
• Have a drivers license, and own reliable transport for commute to work and back.
• No criminal record - this will be verified.
